DO NOT GIVE UP!

Lately I'd been reading a lot of negative things and about giving up! Let me share you my thoughts on it okay. When you start to pursue your passion, you'd be like all over the place in hopes of making it big. That's your enthusiastic drive's doing. Do not fall for it but enjoy it while it lasts because why not! Very few would hit it off as soon as they start. Well, good for them. But you know what's their drawback? They'd be in limelight from their start, they could not afford mistakes as easily as someone who's off the limelight. They could hardly try to learn freely. Now, once your enthusiasm fades away - trust me it would drain, fast I may add ; when you do not get the result you'd hoped for. This is your tricky phase. You have to choose your passion over your vexation, that'll be the only way. Sure you could take some time off but trust me, you do not want that. Move along, fall down, get your head banged now and then, face rejections left, ...

I'M 24 AND NOT MARRIED - AND THAT'S A PROBLEM BECAUSE?

“ What’s your daughter’s age? Ohh.. 24 already! How fast she has grown.. Aren’t you looking for matches yet?” I’m sure many of you can relate to the above dialogue, especially if you are an Indian. Your distant-distant-distant fifth cousin’s friend’s mom would have asked this to your dad or mom at some point in a family occasion. Yes? Of course yes! At least we have one thing in common. That question has no discrimination at all. Do you have any idea how dreadful that question is? Genuine family who actually want you to get into a happy marriage aside, there are people who bring up the matter just so as to entertain themselves. Youngsters these days are wary of going to family occasions as such just because of this. Being single isn’t a bliss as they project it to be. If you are of age, mind you, there is no such thing in written but it’s a general belief that the day you graduate, you don’t just qualify to take on a job but also a household. I’d really like to dig down the orig...

COMMERCIAL STORYTELLING – FEATURING PEN, THE MODERN SELLSWORD

Storytelling, an art we perfected over a hundred years - yet, still find things to add to it. Such is its appeal. And truth be told, there were times when people were deemed insane for reading novels and writing, so much so they hid behind curtains. Now it’s not the case, we’ve ventured into a place where we boast our pens to be bold, we are boisterous to have a skill to wield it. We now look up to – seek out that skill.  People even make a decent living with their pens. A pen, that’s been changing hands and been through an array of different perceptions. Unfortunately, said freedom of our pen, admiration for the same have landed us in a position where fame and society influence it more than it should. Thinking upon it, pen has always been passive. It’s the person that matters. But, that’s okay, for being manipulated much, pens deserve to share the stage I suppose. Back then, when storytelling was still new, people did it to satiate themselves; it was more like a guilty plea...

Chaos - One shot fiction #1

When I walk into my home around nine thirty in the evening I'm met with utter chaos. The floor is full of litters. I wince and curse stepping onto toys meanwhile loosening my tie. The house is silent, save for the vague voice of her coming from one of the rooms at the back. I cross the room my mom is in and see medicines and half glass of water by her side table. She's covered in layers of blankets. Ah! mom's been sick. I drop my bags and walk in further and stand at the door. She's changing the baby's dress. The relief her eyes flare with when she sees me makes me smile. I wave her a hi. Her hair's a mess, she's a mess actually. She walks over to me carrying the baby along. Her eyes have bags under them, she stinks of baby wipes in her day old sweat pants and t-shirt and I'm fairly positive there's baby vomit stuck to her hair. " How long has it been since you last slept?" I ask, she lets out a harsh breath. "Feels like forever...

Poem #1 Hello!

Image
#Hello There are days  I envy you, for you get to work from home Especially like today, I had to come home Battling chills and mists that teasing smirk of yours on seeing me shaking cold I wish I could knock that But instead, I run into your arms smack. You take my clumsy self in a rather graceful hug I go on to bury my near frozen nose  to your warm chest Ah! a welcome reprieve My numb fingers sneak in beneath your sweater, greedy. And I hear you hiss  to my sudden cold touch Your muscles bunch taut, I don't miss For a moment It's not just me who's in shivers You recover fast though I feel your hands band me in, your face nuzzling into my hair, a hug tight by the minute And that right there, wordless yet, my favourite 'hello' tonight. #yqbaba #napowrimo #love #hug #cold #THE_Book_addictSays💕 Follow my writings on http://www.yourquote.in/sara-jothi-ds3/quotes/ #yourquote
