Poem #1 Hello!

#Hello

There are days 
I envy you, for you get
to work from home
Especially like today,
I had to come home
Battling chills and mists

 that teasing smirk of yours
on seeing me shaking cold
I wish I could knock that
But instead,
I run into your arms smack.

 You take my clumsy self
in a rather graceful hug
I go on to bury my near frozen nose 
to your warm chest
Ah! a welcome reprieve

 My numb fingers sneak in
beneath your sweater, greedy.
And I hear you hiss 
to my sudden cold touch
Your muscles bunch taut, I don't miss

 For a moment
It's not just me who's in shivers
You recover fast though
I feel your hands band me in,
your face nuzzling into my hair,
a hug tight by the minute

 And that right there, wordless yet,
my favourite 'hello' tonight.

4 STARS " A reader can never escape from the hope and anxiety of a writer,  and a writer from that of the universe." - Ashutosh Gupta  These two lines that I read in the first half of the book kind of resonated in my mind with every quote till the last. The book is in parts, in segregated sections and with a thought in each page you pass. There were some lines I re-read to understand and felt funny, for, they gave me different perceptions and overlapped opinions every time. யாதுமாகி நின்றேன் - கவி இளவல் தமிழ் // Book review

First of, not a fan of books that has a collection of poems. I'll tell you why later. We sometime chuck things in an aisle and some things drop into our basket on their own. This book landed in my hands because of a series of events, none of them conscious or planned. But good all the same. I've never read/heard a book like this otherwise, and I don't really think I will moving forward. Touchwood! You are told a back story because, that's how it is to read this. That's how it feels like to dwell in each one of them Poems. You might not see it all, but you'd at least see the curtain that has it all behind. You just cannot not do that. The author puts forth strong opinions, issues that are hard to think, even harder to confront in their honest colors before you. Purple, black, yellow, pink and a blaring red -  Bold, honest, warm, innocent and anger. Plain and simple. One thing I liked about the book is it's very raw. Its edges sharp and cutting. There...
