Table For One - Neha Bindal - Book Review


Table for one is a story true to its roots.
The story revolves around Taara, a lawyer who's at one point of time chooses herself over timeline and expectations. And following that she only chooses herself, unapologetically. Honest, simple and refreshing is how I'd put her character forward. The author takes us through the places and people in vivid details that you see it all. But as is her journey, the supporting characters fleet away without leaving much to ponder. The romance is smartly taken light, not over powering the plot but flavoring the pages just right. The characterization of Fred and Taara stands out among all. Aquick read, one time, gripping first half and light for the heart.

Sticks close to realtiy. Nothing over dramatic. 4/5

Cons
Other language references. It hinders the flow of the read.
Also, makes the book claim a region. Cutting it off from the entire thing getting reached to all.
Climax. Rather abrupt that you don't prepare much for it.

4 STARS " A reader can never escape from the hope and anxiety of a writer,  and a writer from that of the universe." - Ashutosh Gupta  These two lines that I read in the first half of the book kind of resonated in my mind with every quote till the last. First of, not a fan of books that has a collection of poems. I'll tell you why later. We sometime chuck things in an aisle and some things drop into our basket on their own. This book landed in my hands because of a series of events, none of them conscious or planned. But good all the same. I've never read/heard a book like this otherwise, and I don't really think I will moving forward. Touchwood! You are told a back story because, that's how it is to read this. That's how it feels like to dwell in each one of them Poems. You might not see it all, but you'd at least see the curtain that has it all behind. You just cannot not do that. The author puts forth strong opinions, issues that are hard to think, even harder to confront in their honest colors before you.
